1932 - Constitutional Revolution – Sao Paulo, Brazil. Marshal Gastao Goulart, jointly with other illustrious Commanders from Sao Paulo, vindicated the National Constitution and a Democratic Government.
Marshal Goulart commanded the Bicudo Leme Battalion, made up by men of different social and religious extractions. Due to his human quality and because he always respected and dignified the identity of his soldiers, he became known in history as the “Commander of the Black Legion.” Today his remains rest in the Mausoleum of the Ibirapuera Park, in Sao Paulo, dedicated to the Heroes of the 1932 Revolution.

1998 - Erika Goulart, granddaughter of Marshal Goulart, finds among the papers of his grandfather a lost title to property, corresponding to some Fincas in Mendoza from the times when her grandfather was exiled in that Argentine province. In the same year, she travels with her Argentine husband to Mendoza and starts to work these vineyards that date back to 1915. As a tribute to her grandfather’s legacy, she names this collection “the Goulart Selection,” made up by three excellent varieties: Paris Goulart Assemblage Réserve, Goulart Malbec Réserve, and Goulart Malbec Grand Vin.

The philosophy of the Goulart Selection is to make great wines in limited issues, based on the Terroir and Chateau concepts.
